A) Are you at home or away this year?
B) If you are away, how far did you travel to get there?

D) Will you watch football?
For me –
A) I will be next door at the neighbors.
B) I will travel by foot ~100 yards.
C) I will have a pre-dinner cocktail, and a glass of wine with the dinner. If I am still awake after dinner, I may have a cordial of Nucello.
D) Yes, I am sooo butch at times. (I just won’t let on I am clueless what I am observing)
Your turn now!

A. away (with my elder son and his girlfriend’s family)
B. 5+ hours, about 300+ miles
C. Dunno. If so, not excessive and not by me.
D. Will *I* watch football? Probably not - except to check out the tight ends and as I might be forced by having no escape. Will football be watched by others? Certainement! I may have to put on my best butch and grunt appropriately whether I want to or not.

A) Thanksgiving morning, you will find me in the woods hunting (deer) family traditonal thing of course, then we will head over to my sister’s for the family gathering, brothers, sisters, neices, nephews, the house is always bursting at the seams, which perhaps makes it my favorite holiday of the year.

a. & b. We’re going down the hill to Nevada City for T-day dinner at our dear friend/benefactress/landlady L.’s house. It’s only a half-hour from The Woods. I’ve been there several times for T-day over the years and it’s always special.
c. Probably. L.’s friend J. loves his whine. I’ve been known to enjoy a few glasses too, especially on holidaze. I wouldn’t want him to drink alone!
d. NO! Thank god.

A & B) We’re going to my Dad’s this year, about 1 1/2 hour drive. I swear one year we’re going on a cruise or somewhere far away so we can truly relax.
C) There will be some drinking, but not much. My family is pretty moderate with the liquor.
D) Not sure. My dad isn’t much into football, but my dad’s girlfriend’s husband and boyfriend (did you follow that?) might be.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! *turkey hugs*

I had a reprieve this year, so they’re not piling into my house for free food until December 1st — now THERE’S something to be thankful for. I find myself wishing for the old days when I could go somewhere else for dinner and not be left alone afterwards in a trashed house with a sinkful of dirty dishes.
I might celebrate with a vodka martini, if I can remember to pick up the vermouth.
I’ve never watched football in my life — if it’s still raining on Thursday I might watch “Attack Of The Mushroom People.” It all depends.

A - at my folks’ in Laguna. No one thinks my Grandmother would be able to handle a drive up to my Aunt and Uncle’s so we all agreed on the home closest to hers.
B - their house is roughly 20 miles from my apartment.
C - very non-alcoholic drinking. Martinelli’s sparkling cider, Snapple, water, etc.
D - no. probably the Macy’s Parade then a DVD or one of the digital music channels.
