in 2007 I have been using WordPress.
Most of my blogging buddies use Blogger. It looks like Blogger has improved; I have not heard recent grips about it. So in 2/08 I am considering coming back to Blogger.
If anyone is reading this, could you leave a comment you came and visited
and
could you tell me if you are happy/dissatisfied with Blogger
Regards,
Urspo

Humm, moving back to the old neighborhood, huh? The one thing that I like about wordpress is the ability to commenton comments.

What I see as the greatest difference between blogger-bloggers and your wordpress blog is that your images are small, always at the same place, and well: they don’t really add much to the post.
I don’t have experience with wordpress, but blogger is working to my satisfaction: I can change my template with a lot of ease, and adjust whatever I want without the risk of blowing up my computer. So I don’t see a problem with you moving back to blogger.com

I use blogger and I like how easy it to add pictures, too, especially since I tend to use lots of pictures. Also, if you want share the blog with someone else, it’s easy to add authors.

I had a lot of trouble with Blogger until Google took it over, then things improved. The speed of adding pictures and of publishing the blog once an entry is complete has increased dramatically. It’s easier to use and the tech help, on the few occasions I have had occasion to use it, actually answers back now. I see no reason to change blog hosts now.

I’ve never used WordPress but Blogger suits me just fine. It seems best designed. I used to blog through this company called Tripod they took literally AGES it seemed like LIGHTYEARS to download my page… all that eggtimer-watching… never again!

Hey Doc,
I was one of the gays who didn’t do the mass-wordpress exodus when blogger went beta… I’ve been so happy I stayed.
In fact, now you can pay $10 a year and have blogging software with your own domain name (before most people in that situation used wordpress software)… so now I have Captured By Gravity (capturedbygravity dot com) which has blogger software with my own domain name.
That said, I still have my two regular blogs, It’s A Blog Eat Blog World, and Purrchance To Dream as blogspot blogs. I love blogger and it’s user-friendly-ness and the ease of editing html (you can see that all 3 of my sites are basic blogger templates that I “messed” with in the html).
Anyway, just my two cents in this nickel world…
your friend,
mo

I don’t like Blogger. I make no secret of that. WordPress really is much better, especially if you have access to a server with PHP and MySQL. You can download or create your own themes and plugins. In fact, I use a modified theme and have created two plugins myself.
People who say Blogger is “fine” is the same type that allow themselves to be oppressed under dictators.

Hi Doc:
Blogger is my only experience, so I don’t have an ‘apples to apples’ comparison to make. Additionally , I’m not a tech whiz.
The one thing that I can’t do that I’ve tried to do is to use the strikeout feature that is available in word.
