I started my Christmas hohoho-ing a bit early this year. Last Friday we had a drink and a bite to eat with another couple. On Saturday night we went to another bar to see another couple, John and Doug. Doug is a member of the “Sisters”; they were doing a holiday show for charity fund raising. The show was over the top and jolly good fun. They raised over a thousand dollars too.
Today we had our formal Christmas dinner with a third friend/couple. Someone did a fine job. He’s the “Martha Stewart” of the household.
I made gingerbread cookies this morning. Unfortunately we are now up to our ears in leftovers and cookies. I feel a bloated goat from all the food. We are canceling our official Christmas Day dinner in lieu of all the leftovers, which probably will last into 2013.
Tomorrow night I play bells in the 430PM ‘Midnight Mass’ service. Afterwards we’ll probably watch yet another “A Christmas Carol”. I’ve been meaning to makes bourbon balls from Jim of “Bailey’s Buddy”. With so much food in the house I may just settle for the bourbon. I think peace and quiet is what I want from Santa Claus.
I am sure to write a Christmas post, so I will bid all Spo-fans good night and sweet dreams of waterfalls and ice cream.

You are so domestic and well trained, a gem really. Now you cannot eat to much think of your figure, competition is tough out there and critics are merciless. We did all our cooking today for 24 Dec dinner, it includes a huge meat pie with venison. But we are desperately short of sweets. We will have to drink more. Give the gorgeous hunk you live with a big kiss and all the best to you both and Harper too. Merry Christmas.

“…in lieu of all the leftovers”. We got leftovers galore here at Greg’s parent’s house. And they are making us take some home on Tuesday. That’s not a bad deal except the car will smell like like turkey and spaghetti for 450 miles.

Oh, you’ll freeze many things and have a jolly good time into January or even February if you’re lucky. And a Woof! for for that handsome, butch Santa.

Hmmmm. We all know of people being called ‘a slut’ – but in this case I think the initial letter needs to be a ‘g’. On the other hand, you might as well enjoy life to the full while you’re still……YOUNG!
