I well over four feet tall. I am 45 years old. I am a shrink.
I started blogging in February, 2006. I chose the pen name Ur-Spo, as “Ur” suggests something ancient and primordial.”Spo” is a funny sounding word I remember from college days. Saying it always made me smile.
So “Ur-Spo” sounds like the start of a joke, or something archetypal and comic.
Rather lofty, for someone who wants to just write out dribble.
My real name is Michael.
I have a long time companion. In the blog, I refer to him as Someone. This is to protect his innocence.
Here at Spo-Reflections, I write about my daily doings and thoughts, and what may be on my mind.
As a psychiatrist, trained in the Jungian school of psychology, I sometimes write about Jungian concepts -or my daily life as a physician.
Some ongoing categories you will see here:
Randoms Thoughts
Notes from the Office
Curious Things about the House
Curious Cures
Spo-Reflections on (insert topic here)
How does that make you feel?
I entered the 2nd half of my life open to new ideas and growth of the Self, but I would like a cup of tea, please.
I meet many bright and friendly souls along the way. I thank you for dropping by. It is an honor for me. Please leave a comment if you like something - and to tell me who you are!
May our time together be a marvelous thing.

You need to update your homepage address where you comment on other blogs.

1. Does “spo” rhyme with “goo” or with “slow” ?
2. Are you familiar with “spoo” ala Babylon V ?
3. How do you come to know a Cincinnati Diva?
And, I am mightily touched by the tender regard you show for “Joe” in your comments on his blog.

Do you do dream work with clients? If so, do you recommend books and techniques? Active dreaming work? I’m always so curious about this, and have tried a lot of it to my delight.
In other business, I myself am well under six feet tall.
Urspo- I sure do. I recommend the expansion rather than the reduction approach to dream work. Most people in dreams are really about expects of one’s own psyche make up. Not all dreams are important or ‘numinous’.
