My vacation-mates pointed our a few ‘inaccuracies‘ in yesterday’s entry. They added if I gab anymore there will be nebulous but frightening consequences. I’d better “keep it sweet”.
Today’s entry is all about hot sauce; you won’t find a dull word in it.
Over the years I’ve grown more and more fond of ‘heat’. My taste buds have evolved in response, a living proof of ‘survival of the fittest.” Food which isn’t spiced up with pepper or hot sauce seems bland. I carry small bottles of Tabasco sauce in my travel kit ‘in case of emergency’ when there is no hot condiments to be had.
A few weeks ago The Personal Trainer told me about “Arizona Habanero” salts, which boost ‘It is a dry heat’. Happily I was not disappointed. I packed a shakerfull to bring to Key West. I’ve apply it to eggs; I add some to my Blood Marys. Jolly Good Fun.
Alas, my taste buds may be happy but my innards are not. They remind my mouth they are not found of hot things. Like an idiot, I never remember this and continue to apply hot sauces and peppers without care.
If you are tired of heat, then you are tired of life.

Just ignore your bud’s threats. What’s the worst they would do to you? Take you to a room, gather around you, hold you down on a bed, and…
Hmmm, if I was you I would DEFINITELY gab some more!

Have you tried the smoked chipotle Tabasco? It’s my favorite, thanks to some California friends who turned me on to it.

In the absence of a full report, I must assume that the ‘inaccuracy’ in yesterday’s report was regarding the comment ‘no sex’. So somebody has had some and is not fully disclosing the details. I must therefore assume that a statement is being prepared and will be issued by your people later today that will keep us fully abreast of the corrected story.
PS I also recommend the Chipotle Tabasco – great when you want to add a little bit of smoke and heat to your food.

I love your tee-shirt below that is a hoot. I love the new header. i alwaysed thought of you as a snuggling teddybear. I wished I could join you in the heat department, but I can not handle to much of that stuff. My Dad on the other hand could match you bite for bite.

Sounds as if it is your travel mates who cannot “Take The Heat!”

I can’t relate. I recently checked out at Kroger with a bottle of Extra Mild Picante sauce and the smart ass checker said: “I didn’t know they made it in extra mild”. I suppose some would say that I might as well buy catsup.

Hot, spicy food is my life. I grew up on it. I don’t know if my fav is available in your neighborhood, but if you come across any Middle Eastern grocery store (Arab or Israeli) run in and ask for “Schug.
Red is from red-hot peppers and green is, yes, green hot peppers.
Use the green with care.
Have you tried the red VietNamese red hot sauce?
Where did you guys get all those amazing shirts??
Someone is pretty hot and very serious looking.
