Spo-fans know Hallowe’en is my favorite holiday. I look forward to it every year. After several years of blogging, I’ve written several entries on the Hallowe’en season; feel free to browse the archives!
This holiday has many names: Hallowe’en, Samhain, All Hallow’s Eve, and Beggar’s Night (my father’s pick). Whatever you call it, it gives me a thrill to prepare for it. Nothing is better to drive off the fall melancholia.
This year’s All Hallow’s Eve dinner seems to be settling down into:
Jack-o-lantern stuffed peppers
Eyeball casserole
and an apple spice cake.
The Lovely Neighbor is going to have the annual neighborhood block party, where we all congregate on her driveway. While the trick or treaters stop by for one-stop-buffet-style candies, we adults get to eat and drink. As is my wont, I will make my pumpkin dip. This year I have some really kick-butt hot sauce to add to the recipe. That will be some trick, indeed!
Someone is putting together a costume for Harper. Details to follow.
I need to get out the special Hallowe’en Tarot Deck. It is a good time to read the cards and see what they say.
If Spo-fans want their cards read for the ‘upcoming year’, please leave a comment and say yes please!

Yes, please! But to Tarot cards work from such a great distance? (by the way, your Hallowe’en menu looks fantastic!)

I thought all of little boys and future arsonists who grew up near Detroit called it Devil’s Night. They call it Beggar’s Night here in Dayton, but I prefer Hallowe’en.
Please read my cards but if it says something bad just lie to me and tell me I’m going to win PowerBall instead.

Yes.please! I’ve never had a Tarot reading and would love to find out what it says, no matter what the result.
Pat Robertson from the depths of his senility now tells that it is Satan’s Night and must be avoided. Have a great time at the party!

I would enjoy hearing what the cards would have to say for me. I think that it will be a lo-o-o-o-o-ng process taking care of all of these requests – maybe until Thanksgiving weekend 🙂 Thanks

I’d say yes, but how do you stop from getting the readings all jumbled up with all of us saying yes?

Loving it! I love the fun of Halloween. It’s huge in my neighborhood. Posted in past Octobers on my blog. Those jack o’lantern stuffed peppers look delicious! And eyeball casserole! Yum!
