It’s mandatory I post a picture whenever I complete a shirt; it keeps a catalog of my industry. This one is a pastiche of Japanese prints. It has cranes, flowers, fans – even a tsunami – but (alas!) no Godzilla or ramen. I won’t keep this one; it is destined for a chum whom we will see next month when we are in Canada. As usual, I fret a little it’s too small or too short (the shirt, not the chum). But the worst case scenario is merely I have to make another one.
Soup update: Yesterday I made gazpacho (thanks Damienscot!!) I will find out today if it is any good. I realized I am ‘out of practice’ in my cooking skills. I need a ‘refresher course’ on how to chop vegetables quickly and efficaciously. Perhaps I merely need practice. Anyway it was jolly good fun being in the kitchen preparing something special. I hope the soup turns out well, for I will be eating it for a week there is so much of it. Someone won’t touch it, for he is not fond of gazpacho. Gazpacho always makes me smile thanks to the movie “Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown“. See it if you haven’t; you won’t ever eat gazpacho again without grinning.

On behalf of your readership, I thank you for making sure we, the readers, are not confused. By clarifying that your anonymous chum (spoiler alert, it’s Steven Harper) is well over 4 feet tall and not small rather rotund is the word here.

If the PM won’t fit I will give it to Mr. Trudeau or Mr Bieber.

Trudeau 2015! Much better bet. Bieber is jail bait.

That is a good looking shirt! Good for you.
You better like that soup because it’s not something you can just shove off on Harper. Or is it?

The PM of Canada may not like soup. Tim- bits are a safer bet.

PMSH loves Tim Horton he went there last year for a doughnut instead of attending the UN Session in NYC. Says a lot.

Nice work on the shirt, as always. You really should consider the shirt making as a side business. Designs from the House of Spo….

Lovely shirt, as always. And I hope the soup did not disappoint. With gazpacho (as with all foods, I guess) the freshness of the veggies makes all the difference,

Spo, Were do you find the time to construct such nice looking ( like the man who made them) shirts and be an incredible shrink? I’m not sure if you look nicer in your colorful shirts or a dress shirt. Because you’re one of the few guys I’ve seen that can pull off a bow tie and do it well. I’m sorry I missed your birthday last week, so Happy birthday to you etc. etc. You don’t look a day over 39 and a half.

I am delighted as always to see/hear from your Randy!
Most of the time I don’t know where I find the time for anything; but I am good at making time. Shirts are made in slow piecemeal, usually while watching movies or hearing lectures etc.
Please come visit !

I LOVE THAT SHIRT! By the way, a shirt can never be too big or too long. Oversized is always better than undersized. I find as I’ve aged, I don’t like form fitting shirts that are too short but the large billowy shirts. But that’s me.

When I sew small children have to leave the room or cover their ears.

Great shirt–and EXACTLY the kind of patchwork design I was suggesting for using your scrap Spo-Shirt material.

Great shirt (no surprise)!
I loved “Women on the Verge…”
A nearby restaurant has gazpacho on the menu (very common here, of course). However, they’ve also translated their menu from Spanish to English. Gazpacho has been translated to “Mayonnaise Soup.” My guess is they don’t take many orders for THAT! Their menu is also translated into Finnish. I have no idea what they call Gazpacho.

Great shirt (of course). I do like gazpacho but haven’t been in the mood lately. It’s been a special for some reason at a lot of the local restaurants. As for the film, I haven’t seen it since it first came out. I know I loved it, but could remember nothing as I watched that preview. I guess I’m due to see it again.

The Spo guy is making a new shirt for me. This one was made 2 years ago, lovely artistry.
