The St. Patrick’s Day MEME is floating around blog-land. As is my wont, I have to steal and add to it..……
Do you have any Irish in you? Would you like some?
Alas I have no Irish in me, even back 4-5 generations or more. I would very much like some Irish in me, in a way.
Do you wear green on the day?
I have a lovely green/white/orange bow tie which is worn once a year.
Green beer is..
Silly and nasty. I drink Irish Whiskey rather.
Irish coffee is ….
Lovely!
Guinness Stout ? …
‘Tis mother’s milk to me!
Have you worn a kilt?
No, worse luck. I want Jim to teach me.
Have you gone to the NY St. Patrick’s Day Parade?
No.
St. Patrick chased the snakes out of Ireland with a stick. How would you handle snakes?
I am not afraid of snakes.
I’ve read or seen the works of –
Yeats – he is one of my favorite poets !
Swift – A modest proposal.
Becket – One of my favorites !
Wilde – He is Ireland’s great treasures!
Would you kiss this Leprechaun?
Oh please !
I’ve heard Brian Boru’s March – yes!
Corned beef and cabbage or Roast Lamb and new potatoes? Once upon a time I worked with a resident from Dublin. She assures me no real Irishman eats nasty corned beef. They eat roast lamb on St. Patrick’s Day.
I’ve read “Ulysses” – And yes I said yes I will Yes. 3-4 times.

Irish coffee? – mmmmm!
Becket? – YES!!!
……..and when you get round to wearing that kilt, green or otherwise, do remember that a truly serious and conscientious wearer would probably wear nothing at all underneath – or so I’ve been happily led to believe.

I’m sure the Irish part of you isn’t that little.

I have no Irish in me, although on occasion I’ve had some in me. (He was jolly nice too). I’m not a Guinness drinker nor do I regularly partake of Jameson’s although I do rather like the taste. I’ve never kissed a leprechaun, but I have kissed the blarny. I’ve worn a kilt (in Scotland) I’ve chased a snake out of a house with a flashing bike light. All four should me mandatory reading for all, I have, thankfully. Irish coffee is the best. I’m rather lucky that Ireland is just up the road, turn left and over a little bit of water.

I would be honored to fit you in a kilt! And then make sure you’re wearing it properly! 😉
