Hey folks, what can I say? It was fun. I laughed; I cried; it was better than “Cats”.
The whole thing was photographed from top to bottom (and we had some of each!). May I suggest you go to the blogs of the participants to get all the details and photographs. Think of it as a “Rashomon” experience; by piecing the photos together you will get the gist.
Here is my particular ‘slant’ on the experience.
One of the highlights was walking into a restaurant to be encountered by a woman deliriously happy to meet me. I felt like Royalty, or Brad Pitt. This is Spo-fan Susan. I was tickled pink to meet her; there is nothing so lovely as a swooning stranger who already knows everything about you. OOXX Susan!
As a host gift, I made Ron this shirt.
We missed those who could not attend: Clint, Wayne, and Sean et. al. Sean was remembered via drinking his cosmos until we could not remember anything more.
I enjoyed meeting new people and bloggers. Here is Randy of “Randy of NEB”. He is well over four feet. He did a bathtub photo shot; several bloggers (of both sexes) had to be hosed down afterwards.
Dinner was a austere and dignified affair. Pay the entrance fee or Warrior Queen will become nettlesome. Needless to say, we had no scroungers.
Doris, AnneMarie and Denise (Sluggy) were our three Graces. They also served as The Fates, The Norns, The Furies (and in a pinch) The Supremes. There is no archetypal energy like The Triple Goddess.
Mon Ami Fred helped me with my French to send texts to bloggers in Canada. Laurent was impressed with my improvements for awhile until he smelled a rat with the French for ‘No rubbish’.
This one gets its own entry some other day……..

Seems a good time was had by all, and I take it you got your flight out before the heavy weather hit. I agree with RuralBeard–you must have hot cockles! 🙂

Shoot! I was hoping you’d get snowed in and have more time to blog. 😉 Looks like a fun time and another beautiful shirt.
Glad you’re home safe and sound?

Yes, I am home. It was tenuous at times – the pending storm and seeing some flights getting canceled. Nothing gets me into a solicitude like the thought being snowed in by as canceled flight. I was glad to take off and get home. Now it is clear, sunny and in the 80s.

So glad you attended. Wouldn’t be the same without you. And that last photo, someone is definitely secure in their masculinity. 🙂 I smile every time I see it. And thank you for the beautiful shirt. And (another “and”), do you know how close you missed this snowstorm? I always guarantee great weather but this one wasthisclose. 🙂

The near-miss with the snow storm was quite a stress factor for me; I was lucky to get out. THank you again Ron: you did a super job!

I’m glad you got out of Dodge just in time. Big snowstorm here. So over this winter, I can’t tell you.

And I do believe “The Shanks” also made an appearance at the Old Time Photo shoot…..
And we did have quite the benjo, nattering while the neck oil flowed liberally, didn’t we?
It was a delight to meet you!

Seems another fabulous weekend come and gone!
No one seems to be talking much about the hypnotist! Was secrecy about his methods part of his act? From one picture, it looks as though everyone slept through it!

I believe I am correct when I say that the purple garment was NOT one of your handmade shirts. The purple does match your lips though!
Did the thought that one of us might blackmail you wearing such an undergarment? What I really want to know is Someone’s reaction!

Thanks for a wonderful weekend, Spo! Seeing you in drag was a highlight. Photographing you in compromising positions while in drag: priceless!

Good to hear that you escaped the east coast in time. Warrior Queen and myself made it home before the snow fall, but i developed a case of bronchitis on the way home, which is what I’m dealing with today.. Still it was great fun and wonderful to see our old friends again!

Wonderful photos. I especially love that last one. Is that the 2014 line of Spo shirts?
